Prop 8. Do it for your children.

I HATE the fact that proposition 8 passed in California. I hate that the majority of African Americans in California voted for Prop 8. Then how the majority of African Americans in the US voted for Obama. They talk about change and overcoming oppression and then they turn around and oppress another group. I couldn’t even really be happy for Obama because while I wanted him to win and think that his victory was a step forward for our country, I think Prop 8 was two steps back. It made Obama’s victory bitter for me because we just passed the oppression to another group of people.

Anyways, I came across this video that my friend Charles posted on Facebook and I was shocked. This was the kind of propaganda going around for Prop 8. This video is BS and you will see why. Watch!

First off, real people would have better responses for that because they would be expecting it. They would say love is between a man and a woman and how their family is special or something. The “gay” characters’ discomfort with their daughter’s questions was ridiculous. It’s sad that there are people who see that and think, oh this is true and how it is going to be. Better not let them get married.

eFoodsDirect – There to Scare!

So I heard the weirdest commercial today on my way to work.  It started off saying how Joe Biden and Colin Powell have both stated that in January Obama will be faced with an international decision that will cause him to make some unfavorable decisions.  There was nothing specific about this “international problem” but only that it it will hurt the American people so much that they should stock up on food.  Which, it so happens, you can buy at efoodsdirect.   Ohhhhh commmmeeee ooooooonnn.  Seriously.  You have to use fear tactics to sell food now?  First off how vague is some “international problem”?  Second, how is it going to affect our food sources?  Is there some weather problem we don’t know about?  Is there going to be an attack that will cause us to not have access to food?  Are they talking about the financial crisis and people not being able to buy food?

The last thing that was stated on that commercial was “it’s better to have too much food then not enough”.  So I decided to check out these people once I got to work.  eFoodDirect is emergency storage food.  They sell packages of dehydrated food.  They also have a nice little video explaining what their company is trying to do.  You can watch the creepy guy explain it below.

I seriously sat in my car for a minute and laughed after I heard that.  Obviously will be in a food shortage at some point, but really?  January?  Obama is going to make unfavorable decisions.  I guess they don’t like him too much.  Just had to share this with someone.
